Mandalore’s research team has taken effort to map another emerging technology sector - Regulatory tech, or Regtech.
The map is divided into 4 key areas that are corresponding to the flow of digital processes:
Identify. This area consists of ID Proofing and Verification (KYC/KYB) and Electronic Signature.
Manage. Digital Transaction Management and Electronic Documents are part of this section.
Comply. This area has two sub elements that are Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Fraud Management and Risk and Compliance Management.
Report. This final step can be categorised into two parts: Reporting Dashboards and Platforms, and Regulatory Intelligence Tools.
While most of the ventures have identified more than one area of focus, majority is focused on the Identify and Comply areas, with other, no less important, players specialised in Manage and Report areas.
